The Trident Seekers

Chapter 5

Aaron was alone, in his cabin at Camp Half blood.
Then again, Aaron was always alone in his cabin, he was the only child of Hebe, the youth goddess, at Camp after all.

He was thinking, about the dream he had last night.
He knew demigods always have strange, and vivid dreams, but this one was different.
There was girl he hadn't seen in 2 years, but it felt like forever, in the dream.
What was her name?
Sandy Thomas.
She and Aaron go way back, to when they were just 7 years old.

They had grown up in the same neighbourhood, in New York.
Aaron was packing to go to Camp, when she showed up.
He immediately knew she was special, that she was a demigod, like him.
She just have off an aura of power, of importance. And he knew then and there that she was a child of the big three.
He didn't know who, just that Zeus, Poseidon or Hades ha definitely sired this girl.
Aaron's father had taught him about the gods and the myths and heroes when he was still very young.
And so when Sandy arrived, he had a little chat with Lucie, Sandy's mother, about sending her to Camp with Aaron.
His father had suspected Lucie to be a demigod herself, and she revealed herself to be a daughter of Aphrodite.
Sandy, was a granddaughter of Aphrodite, AND a child of the big three.
They were in BIG trouble.
When Lucie made it very clear that she wasn't sending Sandy to Camp, Aaron's father trained his son personally, so that when the time came, he could protect her.

Years past, and they became quite close, they would walk to school together, go get lunch together, he would defend her when she was bullied, and be the shoulder to cry on when the mean girls pushed too far. They were inseparable, and by the time they were 15, Aaron had fallen in love with her.

He was very natural with her, never afraid to tell her she was beautiful, or that she shouldn't let the girls at their school being her down. He didn't know if she was in love with him, if she was , she was very good at hiding the occasional blush, when he would complement her.

One day, the moment he had been training for finally came.
A draconae had slithered it's way into her house when her mother was on a business trip for a few days.
Aaron was there in seconds.
But when he got there, the damage had been done, Sandy had a large gash on her temple, that stretched behind her ear. She was on the floor, unconscious.
As soon as the draconae saw Aaron it charged, but not before telling him something that still haunts him to this day, 2 and a half years later;
"You may sssssave her today, sssson of Hebe. But ssssuch a day will come that you will fail!" The draconae laughed, and came at Aaron, claws outstretched, and Aaron flung his sword up, slashing her chest, but not before she clawed at his chest, leaving 3 diagonal slash marks on his chest.
He cried out, and blacked out, watching the snake lady disintegrate into yellow mist.

He woke up, looking at green eyes he had come to love. Sandy was cradling his head in her lap, stroking his face gently.
She was alive, she was crying. Her forehead and cheek were covered in blood. But she was okay.
He reached up and touched her cheek, and she leaned into his touch, closing her eyes.
He slowly got up, and helped Sandy in turn, she held onto his hand, and took him to the bathroom, she took out a rag and reached into the back if the cabinet and fished out a canteen of nectar, and a bag of ambrosia. She removed his tattered shirt, and soaked the rag with the godly drink, and continued to clean out the wound.
Aaron would flinch, but he would quickly hide it. Sandy dressed the wound with bandages, and after giving him a clean shirt to wear, he did the same to her gash on her temple.
When they both finally regained composure, he decided to break the silence.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
She looked up, her eyes full of fresh tears.
"No." She replied.
She held her arms out, and he went into her embrace. Her arms frail, but strong, wrapping around his neck. He held onto her waist, and she sobbed into his shirt. But he didn't care.
"I love you so much" He whispered into her ear.
The sobbing ceased.
"I know." She said softly.
He pulled back a little, and pressed his lips to her forehead.
She sighed happily.
Unexpectedly, she pulled back, went on her tippy toes, and pressed her lips to his.
His eyes flew open. She was kissing him.
Her lips were as soft as he always imagined them to be, and he deepened the kiss, his mouth moving against hers beautifully. She was crying and laughing and smiling against his mouth.
He just held her there, her head against his chest, and his lips pressed to her neck.

The next day, none of them said anything to their parents. But one night, Aaron heard Sandy and her mother fighting. And the sound of her crying, and yelling at her mother.
A few minutes passed, and the yelling ceased, by then it was 3 in the morning. That morning, Aaron went to see Sandy, she was usually in her room reading, and so that's where he went.
Her room was empty. A sharp prickle of fear spread throughout his body as he looked around frantically all over her house. He went to the kitchen, where he found a single note. It said :
I love you, I'm sorry.
-S
She was gone.

A sharp knock hit the door of the Hebe Cabin, snapping him out of his flash back.
"Aaron! There's a new girl, and Chiron wants you to show her around. Be at the big house in 5!" Said Will Solace from the Apollo.
Aaron got up of his desk chair, and started out of his cabin.
As he neared the big house, he heard people talking.
"…of the big three…"
"…bet you it's Poseidon, look at her green eyes…"
"…maybe she's an Aphrodite girl, she's so blonde…
"…looks like they broke the pact again."
At that point he was scared, it was definitely a big three girl, and after Percy and Thalia, there was Jason and Nico. Another child of the big three? They seriously need to learn to keep it in their pants, or else we'll all be in trouble.

He reached the door to the big house, opened the door, and there she was.
Her blond hair was longer, and her bright green eyes were sharper then he remembered them to be. But she still had that look in her eyes, that look of placid determination.
She looked me straight in the eyes, and my heart stopped.
I took a shaky breath.
"Sandy?"

Thank you!

@Burning Sun
It's totally fine:) thank you for letting me know I really appreciate it! And glad you like it:)) I'm really not one for lemon either, just thought the moment needed it☺️

Okay, I'm not dissing your story, I LOVED IT, I mean, up until you wrote the lemon. It's a good story, and yeah, the lemon got some key points across about how close they are, but I think you could find a non-lemon way to tell the readers that.
