The Trident Seekers

Chapter 4

As the day ended, Sandy found Marco outside, leaning against a silver porche.
Typical.
He smiled mischievously when he saw her, and beckoned her to the passenger seat.
For some reason, she couldn't meet his eyes. Those beautiful, bright gold eyes. So she kept her head down, but not without noticing the group of girls staring at her as she settled in the passenger seat. They stared at her enviously, wishing they were her.
Sandy ignored them, especially the one with the long and lush brown hair, who was staring daggers at her. Sandy suddenly understood the meaning 'If looks could kill'.

Marco put his seat belt on, and Sandy did the same.
He looked nervous, or anxious. She yearned to ask him what was wrong but she held back, unsure.
"Ready?" He asked. His voice wavered. But Sandy nodded.
Marco drove out of the school parking lot, and started on the highway. Minutes flew by, as fast as the car went, she was surprised nobody stopped them, then again, there was nobody on this road, it was completely deserted, surrounded by trees and the Valley that contoured the Long Island Sound.

Marco swerved to the side, and into the forest. What the hell was he doing? This must be a shortcut of some kind because she thought the road leading up to the Sound was farther.

He stopped the car infront of 2 pillars, with a slab of stone balanced on those two pillars. They're were words written on the top stone, and immediately she knew what it said, the words seemed to unravel themselves in front of her eyes. The words were Greek. And they stood for the English words:
Camp-Half Blood.
She was smart enough to know what that meant, and the years her mother spent teaching her daughter Greek and Latin and diverse languages, she had also taught her daughter Greek mythology. The gods and goddesses of Olympus, the titans, the stories, the quests. And Sandy knew what Half-Blood meant, it meant Half Olympian God.

She was in soooooo much trouble.

Thank you!

@Burning Sun
It's totally fine:) thank you for letting me know I really appreciate it! And glad you like it:)) I'm really not one for lemon either, just thought the moment needed it☺️

Okay, I'm not dissing your story, I LOVED IT, I mean, up until you wrote the lemon. It's a good story, and yeah, the lemon got some key points across about how close they are, but I think you could find a non-lemon way to tell the readers that.
