The Trident Seekers

Chapter 3

*6 months later*

Sandy had another nightmare.
Herself, and a boy, with startling silver eyes, were on a mountain. Sandy was climbing and the boy was behind her, steadying her. Suddenly, she misplaced her hand, and they both fell, and fell, and fell……
Sandy woke up, sweating, and gasping for air. Her bedsheets were all wound up together. Her heart was beating so fast she
could hear it in her ears.
You know when your dreaming, and you get hurt, like your stabbed or shot or you suddenly fall of a cliff? Well sometimes you get a weird sensation in your stomach that wakes you up and you realize it was all a dream? Sandy just felt that, the tingling butterfly sensation deep in the pits of your stomach.

Sandy took a few deep breaths, se was ok, she reminded herself. But who was the boy? She knew exactly who the boy was. The boy with the tousled, chocolate brown hair, and the startling sliver eyes.
It was Aaron.
No, she thought. Don't think about him.
Forget it, forget him, forget the pain.
"Sandy? We're leaving soon. Please get ready, can't be late for the first day." Her mother interrupted her thoughts.
"Okay, I'll be out in a few!" Sandy replied.

Sandy slid out of bed, flattened her already straight, blonde hair, and washed her face quickly in her bathroom.
In 5 minutes she was ready. She had chosen a black, skater skirt, and a slightly baggy, navy blue t shirt, and tucked the shirt into the skirt, while raising it a bit out of the skirt. She went to desk, and underneath were her favourite navy blue semi see through TOMS. She slid them on easily and reached for her brush to put her blonde hair in a careless high pony tail. She did her makeup, very minimal, only mascara and a bit of black eyeliner, to make her green eyes pop.
She grabbed her school bag and was out the door.

When end my mom drove me to school, she told she'd drive me back home also. She's become very paranoid since the draconae attack, she had refused to talk about it at all, saying it wasn't safe, saying she wouldn't let them take her away.
I had no idea what she was talking about of course. She was secretive like that.

I said goodbye and kissed her cheek. The bell rang, class had started and I was now late, on my first day of 10th grade.
I opened the door to my French class, and suddenly 48 eyes were looking at me. I blushed inwardly.
The teacher, Madame LaFontaine, did not look impressed. Her manicured hands lay on chest, her arms crossed, her eyes severe.
"Pour quoi est-tu en retard?" She asked harshly.
I responded so quickly it surprised me.
"Je suis désolé Madame, mon auto se commence a devenir, trop vieux pour l'amount de usage qu'on utilise." Sandy replied.
Madame LaFontaine smiled greatly, pleased.
"ah! Vous parlez français, incroyable! Suivez moi, tu vais assir au table advancès." She replied, still smilling.
Sandy heard whistling from the guys, and whispers from the girls. Not unordinary, it happened wherever she went, didn't matter where, people thought she was beautiful and they let her know.
Sandy sat down at her advanced table and for an hour, learned how to conjugate verbs.

The bell rang, and people started shuffling out of class. As she neared her locker, some girl brushed her shoulder and she dropped her unzipped book bag, the books falling out one by one. Sandy sighed and bent down to pick them up, but there was another pair of hands already picking them up.
She looked up into piercing gold eyes, her eyes traced his face, the high cheekbones, the pink lips that looked soft as velvet, the slightly upturned nose, and the movie star white toothed smile. She hated him instantly.
"Hi, I'm Marco. Your the new girl who showed up Madame LaFontaine right?" He asked, his voice like silk.
"Uh, um yeah I guess I am." She replied.
Marco smiled, showing dimples.
Wow.
She put her books in her bag, and started to turn, when he held her arm, pulling her back.
"Listen, I know we just met, but you seem cool, wanna hangout tonight? Go to the beach or something?" He asked, his eyes softening.
Sandy thought for a moment. But she impulsively took out her iPhone 5s and texted her mom.
She put her phone away, and turned toward Marco.
"fine. But no funny business, I'm a black belt in martial arts and I'll kick your ass if you try anything stupid." She said.
"Ok I've been warmed!" He laughed. I heard some girls sigh, at the sound of his laughter.
I rolled my eyes. Sandy didn't remember why she even said yes. Oh right, his smile, the way his eyes twinkled.
She tried to brush it off, but he was very alluring. How could she resist?

Thank you!

@Burning Sun
It's totally fine:) thank you for letting me know I really appreciate it! And glad you like it:)) I'm really not one for lemon either, just thought the moment needed it☺️

Okay, I'm not dissing your story, I LOVED IT, I mean, up until you wrote the lemon. It's a good story, and yeah, the lemon got some key points across about how close they are, but I think you could find a non-lemon way to tell the readers that.
