The Trident Seekers

Chapter 2

Her mothers scream pierced through the hallway. Sandy got to her feet and ran to the living room.
Her mother was on the floor, a sword at her feet. Wait a sword? What the heck was she doing with a sword?!
Lucie looked up at her with such pain, she thought about crying. On her mothers chest was a deep gash. Blood was fanning her business suit and it was covering her neck.
Sandy looked up and immediately regretted it.
above her mother was a giant snake, with the torso of a lady. Snakes were protruding from her head and legs. She hissed at Sandy.
Sandy looked to her mother again.
"Sandy you need to run. Now." Her mother wheezed.
Sandy choked back a sob.
"No freaking way am I leaving you." She said sternly, on the verge of tears.
Sandy lunged for the sword, and grabbed the hilt as the snake lady came down on Sandy.
She raised the blade to her chest and the snake lady .
"Demigod child, You cannot essssscape your fate, let me end it quickly and tassssstily!" She hissed at Sandy.
Sandy stared as the snake lady disintegrated into nothing. And just like that, she became a poof of yellow smoke.
Demigod…the words were echoing around and the world tipped upside down.
"Mom? Mommy what just happened?" Sandy hasn't called her mother 'mommy', since she was 8.
Lucie got to her knees, and slowly regained her posture, her hand clutching at her chest.
"Go pack a bag. As much as you can, we are not coming back here they will find you." Her mother said sternly.
Sandy ran to her room and gathered all of her clothes, all of it, and stuffed it all into her old hockey bag. She then put a few pairs of shoes in the side compartments, and grabbed a little bag and fit most of her makeup and toiletries. She grabbed her picture frame of her and her mother, and placed it on top of her clothes.
Her mother was already in the car. And they were gone.

Thank you!

@Burning Sun
It's totally fine:) thank you for letting me know I really appreciate it! And glad you like it:)) I'm really not one for lemon either, just thought the moment needed it☺️

Okay, I'm not dissing your story, I LOVED IT, I mean, up until you wrote the lemon. It's a good story, and yeah, the lemon got some key points across about how close they are, but I think you could find a non-lemon way to tell the readers that.
