The Son of Artemis

I stood beside Devin when he was healing Dawn. His voice was beautiful and the hymn was so powerful that a gash in my side that I got from fighting Roman healed. When the trees cleared and the sun came out my legs were weak. Now the most awkward moment is when Dawn started kissing Darren. Devin stood up and brushed the dirt from his knees. His red hair shone like copper in the sunlight. When Cat mentioned that me and her had to go with them he looked at me with wide eyes. "Darren? Did you hear that?" Darren didn't respond, he was still sucking Dawn's face. Cat laughed. "I can sense both of their love auras. There to deep in the kiss."

When Darren and Dawn stopped we walked back to Cracker Barrel. The roof was smoking and cops surrounded the area. Mason backed up, "We shold probably take the bus." I took my backpack off and grabbed mortal money. "I got one thousand dollars in cash. Me and Catalina," Cat broke in while rubbing her forehead. "Just... call me Cat..." I smiled, "Oh yeah. Sorry. So me and Cat started off with seven thousand dollars when we left New Rome." Darren intterupted, "Wait. New Rome?" I said "Camp Jupiter. A camp for roman demigods." So all seven of us walked to a bus stop. "We figured out some info. Hades is being kept in a Amazon storage facility. A group who carries out the acts of Melione. They're called The Black Sword, they're leader is named Garret Sojax." Chloe said, "So which Amazon facility?" Cat said, "The one in Chicago." We got the bus and I said to the driver, "Chicago please." "Girly... that's too far." I handed him five hundred dollars and he agreed quickly. I sat down and got comfortable. Devin said "Is this seat taken?" I shook my head no so he sat down. I put my earphones in my ears and fell asleep.

"Ava... Psstt... Ava... were here." said Devin. I opened my eyes and saw the word 'Amazon'. "Wheres the others?" I only saw Devin and Mason. They were standing on the empty bus. "There going too research The Black Sword and were going to search for Garret Sojax and kill him so the group will disband." said Mason. "What's your weapon anyway?" said Mason. I drew my staff. It was a five inch piece of baboo. "Uh... how is that supposed to fight enemies?" asked Devin. "Dilato!" I said. The latin word for 'expand'. My staff grew to seven foot long.

We walked to the entrance and opened the door. The ceiling was about twenty foot high. A lady at the desk was about twenty one years old. She was typing on a computer and looked up at us. "Can I help you?" Mason said, "We know your a demigod, lady. Were demigods too and we need to speak to Garret Sojax." The lady looked at Devin suspiciously and said, "He's unavailable right now." Mason drew his sword and put it on her throat. "Now." he commanded. She swallowed and said, "I'm not a demigod but I can open the doors for you. But good luck getting by the soldiers and Garret himself." She pushed a button and the back doors opened. We walked in and saw conveyor belts and saw about ten kids with black masks on and shirts with a black sword on them. A bell sounded and a voice sounded with it, "ENEMY DEMIGODS FROM THE TWO CAMPS HAVE BROKEN IN TO SAVE HADES! IF YOU SEE THEM. KILL THEM!" The kids looked at us and attacked.

I spun my staff and hit a kid in the stomach and punched him in the face. Since I was a daughter of Nike I can have sudden bursts of speed. I sped to the next one a spun kicked him. He crumpled. Devin shot arrows and each one found its mark. I heard him mutter, 'stupid demigods. I can't believe I have to kill them'. A kid kicked me in the back and I went to the ground. He lifted his sword but before he could bring it down a fireball hit him in the chest. They were dead. All of them. I nodded to Devin and Mason and we moved on.

We were going to kill Garret Sojax.
