Zander is considered a big guy with broad shoulders and thick arms. His left arm was amputated when it was shot with an arrow tipped in a centaur blood based poison. [I'm assuming the healers couldn't get to him in time. TBH, I think this is good. Disabled people need more representation.] He later built a mechanical arm as a replacement and uses the mist when he returns home to his mother to disguise it. (She doesn't know he's a demigod.) [That's okay. Also, good and unique. Doesn't follow the annoying parent-can-see-through-Mist-cliche] He also has scars covering most of the right side of his body and arm. He received them when he was mauled by a massive hellhound.

Personality
Positive traits: Zander is a very friendly person once you get to know him. He is also loves to do things for other people.

Negative traits: Zander is easily set off in anger. If people mess with him or people he cares for, people are in for pain.

Fears/Phobias: Fear of Hellhounds, fear that people he cares for will be hurt by something he did.

Fatal Flaw: Zander is selfless. He will do anything for others, even if it could cost him his life.

[His fear is okay but everything else is just so over-used. And they don't really make him stand out as a character.]

Steven Thompson: Hated step-father to Zander, they are constantly at each others throats, literally at times.

Cody Smiles: best friend son Apollo. Uses bow and arrow but will use a sword if he runs out of arrows.

Hillary Kaplen: close friend to Zander. Prefers dagger that Zander made for her.

Backstory: Zander grew up in a small town in near the Washington/Oregon boarder called Longview, on the Washington side. As a kid he played multiple instruments [which instruments and how did he learn them] for his church in Rainier, Oregon. (He likes music despite his Hephaestian heritage) He discovered he was a demigod when he was on a church winter camp for the youth of the church when he was attacked by monsters. he was saved by a satyr who had gone with the church looking for him. They escaped the monster and made their way to camp.

Just a few miles from camp, they were again attacked by monsters. while he did defeat them [how?], the satyr protecting him had been fatally injured and told Zander where to go.

Years later, he was on a quest for some item that camp needed, he couldn't remember what it was. During the quest he attacked by a hellhound about the size of a lifted 4x4 truck and was nearly killed. luckily the same monster was being hunted my the Hunters of Artemis, who then killed the monster and brought zander back to the camp infirmary for treatment. Thus creating his fear of hellhounds.

Combat-related questions
Camp: Camp Half-Blood
Weapon of choice: Zander prefers to use a Xiphos as he became a master swordsman after his time at camp. He also uses the shield that comes out of his mechanical arm.

Other weapons: Other than the shield, his arm also has a mini-crossbow that comes out his wrist and a compartment in the underside for little tools and possibly a dagger if he chose to. He also use rocket boots and stabilizer gloves that he built to fly and burn monsters.

Powers and Abilities: Other than his natural Hephaestian ability to build things quickly, no, he has no other powers.

Comments:
I'm okay with his the last portion (except for the bit I mentioned). Backstory and personality are kind of meh. Physical description is okay except for the whole overweight part.
