My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

Have you ever wondered where you find out your fatal flaws? Don't lie. Yes, you have. Well, normally some god or goddess would tell you, but as you may have guessed already, me and Tsunami, (or Alex, whatever) aren't normal. Ya know, as normal as demigods get. We walked over to Chiron at dinner, because all of a sudden (she does this a lot) she remembered all demigods had fatal flaws, and was to impatient to wait until after dinner. "Hello girls, what has troubled you during this fine meal. Alex still had some taco sauce on her chin, and she wiped it onto the back of her hand. "We want to know what our fatal flaws are!" "Correction, she wants to know" I interrupted. Chiron stopped chewing his apple omelet (I don't know, ask him!) and gave us a sad look. "Girls, when your godly parents found out about you, it was too late to do anything, or even try. The Fates knew you were going to be powerful, very powerful, and so they gave you each three fatal flaws." Alex and I gave each other worried glances. "Alex, dear, your flaws are probably what you would expect. You care too much about what others think, which makes you overthink things, you have hubris, the type that makes you think you have to be in charge, because in your mind, other people always mess everything up for you, and you have an odd sense of justice. You will not be told you have done something wrong when you know you didn't." I could tell Alex knew he was right. "Now, Shera, you want things you can't have, like the fact that you think it would be great to fly, but you're afraid of heights. You overthink things, like Alex, but your version is not insecurity based. You also take everything too deeply, straight to the heart." Chiron straightened his back, and wiped away his serious face. "Well, now!" he said with a smile. "Let us continue this meal!"
