My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

By the time we got back from speaking with Chiron, Shera and I had just enough time to shove the rest of our tacos in our faces before it was time to head to the campfire. As we sang along with everyone else.

"This land is your land, this land is Midas's land..."

Finally, just as Chiron was announcing the night's end, with Rachel standing by his side as usual, when all of a sudden, just as people were beginning to get up, Rachel collapsed, and the Oracle took over;

The heroes that are fatal
More than once
Shall go with the owl's blonde
And the ocean's fraud dunce

To the sea god's palace
To find where trouble
Has stirred
Like ocean currents
And get there on the back of the deep blue's bird

The Earthshaker shall give
The rest
Of the quest
To where the porky god
And his monstrous sibling, the serpent queen
Have been
To free those in need

I stood up, and grabbed Shera's hand as I went. "That'll be us, then!" I looked over to Percy, and then to Annabeth, who was sitting with her siblings, but was not hard to make eye contact with. "And I believe we have our team!" All four of us stood up. "Alright, we have a quest! You shall leave two mornings from now!" Chiron announced. "Oh, this is ironic!" Shera said. "Percy, weren't you twelve when you left for your first quest?" "Um, yah, I guess" Percy answered. "Wait, Percy, are you actually the one narrating the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series?"
"Yeah, Rick had me write down it all, but I didn't know he would publish it as a book! He said it would be on record for other heroes to read!"
"Ok, then" I answered sarcastically.
We all went back to our cabin, but me and Shera had still not completed our rooms, so we had to sleep in the bunk beds. Again. Fortunately the puke (my puke) was gone. Honestly, though, the idea of a quest scared me. Even with two veteran demigods, we could be killed.
