My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

Calypso woke just as I began to see the edge of the beach. The beach at camp. Butterflies appeared in my stomach at the thought of seeing everyone again. I turned around to see my beautiful girlfriend wake of, the sunrise tinting her auburn hair gold and pink. She still wore the tan button-down blouse with the sleeves that puffed out at the forearm, then curved back in at the wrist, light-wash skinny jeans, and the brown leather heeled ankle boots, all of which I'd let her pick out when we stopped at a mall in Florida. It was expensive, but if I was going to spend the rest of my life with her, I'd better keep the McShizzle swagger on. Then I heard it. The conch shell.

BWAABAAAAAAAAAAA BWABWABAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Calypso leaned forwards excitedly. I could smell her cinnamon hair as it swept back an forth in the breeze. They had seen us. Festus groaned and creaked. I really need to get him a girlfriend. As we got closer, I could see the tiny ant-shaped things solidify into the peeps of CHB. My peeps. I could see Piper pulling Jason along... was Jason wearing glasses?! Annabeth ran over to the beach with everyone else, followed by Percy, followed by two girls I didn't recognize. I could hardly resist the urge to bring Festus down as fast as possible, but knew if I did, I would probably crash and burn and kill the whole camp. And then I wouldn't have a welcoming committee! And that would be sad.

When we finally touched down, Piper and Jason were already on top of me, pulling me down and hugging me so hard I couldn't breath. Then came Annabeth and Percy, hugging me just as hard. Then one of the girls punched me in the jaw, and apparently the other decided to join in, and punched me in the shoulder. Eventually the guys figured out what was happening, because they pulled back their screaming girlfriends at the waists so they were bent in half trying to get to me. "VALDEZ!!!!" Piper screamed. "YOU IDIOT!!!" Annabeth agreed. "YOU MADE ME THINK YOU WERE DEAD!!!!" Piper shrieked at the absolute top of her lungs. She and Annabeth continued screaming about how worried they'd been, until finally Percy and Jason were able to clamp their hands over the girls' mouths without them biting the hand holding them back. According to the blood on Percy and Jason's hand, girls have sharp teeth...

Calypso hopped off of Festus, and Percy turned pale. Annabeth noticed and smirked. "Oh, you must be Calypso! I've heard so much about you!" Percy looked from one to the other, like he couldn't tell what was going on. "Aww, all my peeps are back together!" I said. "Now, ladies, can you hug me without hurting me?" Annabeth and Piper came over and hugged me hard, but Piper squeezed me like she was trying to kill me. Believe me, I know what that feels like.

"Miss Calypso will stay in Big House!" Chiron told us. "You will be allowed to decorate it however you please!" Calypso bowed her head. "I give my thanks" Chiron
raised an eyebrow at me, like, How did you get a girl this good?

Heck, don't ask me!

All I know is that I want to spend the rest of my life with her.
