My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

Yeah, I was there both times Shera and Percy had to drag Alex to the infirmary, even the time when she threw up, and convinced Will to let her out of the infirmary that night. No wonder she's related to Annabeth. Smooth-talking Athena and her descendants. And I was there when she relapsed the day before they were meant to leave for their quest.

"Aww, did it have to be tacos?" Shera said, with more than a hint of disgust in her voice. "This looks like a complication of the average winter stomach bug. It's nothing I can't fix, but it will take a few days for her to recover, and yes, that means you will have to postpone your quest. I do suggest, though, when she does recover, you make it seem as if said recovery was right on time." I heard Will say in a low tone.

That day, I was in the infirmary because Clarisse tried to maim me, the usual. I was getting an X-ray to see if my arm was broken. I highly doubt any of you care, but my arm was only sprained. I walked down the hall with my new sling, and stopped to look into the otherwise empty room Alex was in. She was lying on her side in the bed, with the covers half-on and half-off. She was wearing a thin blue tank top, and gray shorts with pink polka dots on them, like she had originally been wearing something that matched, but had gotten too hot and Kacy had put her in whatever was available.

I carefully walked in, trying to wake her. I sat down in the chair next to the bed. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open. "Annabeth!" she croaked. "Um, I'm not-" "Get Annabeth!"

Oooh! Why does she need Annabeth?! Why does she have a winter sickness in summer?!
