My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

Christiana and I were hanging out discussing battle plans when Nico burst in, looking like he had seen a Titan. What? It's not like I can say he had seen a ghost, he hangs out with them! Anyway, he burst in, and swallowed hard. "Annabeth! Hurry!" he yelled, and without another word, he grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room.

"Alex...she needs... you... don't know... why!" he panted, as we sprinted up the stairs of the Big House. He yanked me along the hall, then shoved me into Alex's room, stepped out and shut the door. Alex was staring at the ceiling with blank eyes. "Oh, gods!" I said, thinking she was dead. Then, she turned her blank eyes on me. "Come!" she croaked. I slowly walked over to her. I pulled up a chair and sat down next to her. She took my hand into hers, and put my fingers over a bump on the side of her middle finger, and one on the inside of her thumb.

Writing blisters.

"You're a writer!" I asked, earning a small nod and a slightly less blank stare. She gestured to the window. "The window?"
She shook her head.
"The weather?"
She moved her hand back and forth, like closer!
"The season?"
She nodded violently.
"Summer?"
More violent nodding.

She gestured to herself.
"Yeah, you're sick?"
She pointed to a poster on the wall.
The winter flu.
She gestured to herself again.
"You have a winter sickness in summer?!"

Notes

Ok, well my friend gave me a lotta crap cuz she likes Christiana best and I haven't written as her, so I told her I'd have a Christy chapter within two days. Also, keep a lookout for a story of mine (not the DW one ;-D) about a daughter of Pan!
