My Life as the Daughter of Poseidon: Book One: True Me, True You

My Tail Is Not A Tail

I heard my door creak open.
"Why didn't you answer my question?"
I rolled my eyes at Annabeth.
"What now?"
"Why weren't those songs on your playlist?"
I gave her my sad-sassy-lol-my-life smirk.
"My mom wouldn't buy them for me."
Annabeth sniggered a bit.
"But frick her, I just created an Apple ID and bought them myself!"
"Linked to who's money?"
"Mr. Crappy Dad fixed something up."

P!NK was playing on my sea-rock bedside table.

"The whole world's scared
So I swallow the fear
The only thing I should be drinkin'
Is an ice cold beer
So cool in line
And we try, try try
But we try too hard
And it's a waste of my time
Done lookin' for the critics
Cuz they're everywhere
They don't like my jeans
They don't get my hair
Exchange ourselves
And we do it all the time
We do we do that?
Why do I do that?
Why do I do that..."
I was in a sort of meditation pose, but with a tail, trying to remove said tail.
The four-poster bed I was laying on was all sea-rock, light aqua silk sheets and canopy.
I flopped back onto the pillows and wished for less of a tail. I was a bit sick of having my legs bound together, and I still wasn't used to the feeling. All of a sudden, I felt a tingling in my legs, and an itching/burning where the scales seemed to slid into my legs, though it hurt worse the first few times. Then, I had legs.
"Hey, you did figure it out!" Annabeth exclaimed. I slowly and tentatively got up, expecting part of my legs to explode. I stood up... and in trying to bring my leg up to feel my foot (I'd spent the last while as a fish, don't judge) and I slammed my knee into the bedside table. Then, hopping up and down, I tripped over a wire and hit my head on the floor, and then trying to get up, I hit my elbow on the barely open dresser drawer.
"Today is not my day!"
Annabeth helped me onto my bed.
"Well at least you didn't hit your head too hard."
When I lay down, I slammed my head into the wall.
I glared at Annabeth.

Notes

Hello! Well, thanks to Digital Edits, I now have the coolest banner ever, and I would have written a celebratory chappy then, but my computer glitched, and the same thing happened last night when I tried. Sorry, and enjoy!

Peace, love and Nico di Angelo,

No problem. I honestly love the story. Sure the chapters are short, but you got a good plot. :)
