The (mis)adventures of David Banner

The Amazon Invasion Pt.2

Dave shivered in disgust, dropping the illusion. "Don't you EVER make me be a girl again!""Oh calm down, you were a cute girl." She said with a giggle.
Dave glared at Kira, grumbling. "Hades yea I was..."
The elevator lurched a little as they went deeper into the ground beneath the complex. The glowing sign above the door counted down, showing them going deeper and deeper. -12,-13,-14.
Dave gulped, tugging at his collar. He hated when their wasn't an easy way out. Being someone who could fly, open spaces was a must. Kira reached over, touching his arm. "I'm sorry, I forgot. Thank you for helping me." She said with a small smile.
Dave nodded, gulping as he leaned back against the wall. "Let's just get this over with..." The door dinged, opening up to a storage room. Kira stepped out slowly, checking to make sure no one saw them. "All clear, light it up." Dave stuck his hand out, his palm lighting up like a flashlight. The large room was filled with crates, boxes, cages of animals, chariots and just about any from of vehicle you could think of. Dave shone his hand around the room, whistling at how high the roof was and the boxes were stacked. "Dang...and to think I was worried about flying..."
Kira nodded, not really paying attention. "Where are the guards...? They should have at least a small squad... Something isn't right, keep an eye out." Dave nodded, shining his hand around menacingly. Kira pulls her knife from her holster, a small black blade with a white design like vines wrapped around it. The room was dark besides the light from Dave, perfect for an ambush. If they were going to attack them, now would be the time.
"Look, where is this watch of yours anyways? What does it do?"
"It's... It's a gift from my dad, it boosts my powers."
"You're what?!" He grabbed her shoulders, making her look at him. "Why on earth would you want something from...HIM?!"
Kira blinked, trying to regain her composure as she shoved him off. "It's important! Not because it's from him, but because of what it can do!"
"And what EXACTLY, does it let you do?"
"....look, you wouldn't believe me unless I showed you! Now are you gonna help me or not David?!" Dave looked her over, weighing his options. A.) leave and end up with the fury or Kira Searle hunting you down or B.) possibly fight threw an army of Amazons. He decided to take the lesser of two evils. "Fine, lets keep going."

Kira and Dave had traveled threw the labyrinth of crates for nearly an hour with no success.
"Look, Kira, maybe it's not here. If it's from your dad, it sounds like a pretty powerful artifact, it might've been sold already."
"No, it's here. I can feel it."
"I'm just saying, maybe we shouldn't-"
"If you get to keep your mothers sword, I can have my fathers watch!" She turned on her heel, getting up in his face. Dave held up his hands, shining the light in her face. "Alright, alright, it was just a suggestion."
Kira huffed, continuing her walk. Up ahead, there was a light orange glow, like from a fire. Dave frowned, throwing the illusion over them. "Stay close..."
He snuck up with her to the room, hiding behind a crate. They came up to a large circular room like an amphitheater, a large bonfire burning in the center. Amazons lined the stands, chatting in hushed tones. They seemed...nervous, as if they didn't want to be here.
"What're they doing here?" Dave asked, whispering softly.
"It's close..."
"What, the watch?"
"No, Buffy the magic dragon, yes the watch!" She whisper yelled, drawing attention from one of the Amazons. Dave covered her mouth quickly, holding his breath. The Amazon shrugged, turning back to watch the flames.
"Would you cut it out with the sass? We have more important things to worry about then my lack of information. Which is, might I add, your fault."
"Just shut up and pay attention."
Threw out the theater, drums started to sound, drumming in a rhythm. One Amazon in a cloak approached the flame, holding an old times watch around a chain in her hand. Not much could be seen from her at a distance but from the crown atop her head, she was the queen. The Amazons cheered half heartily as she approached the fire, they probably didn't know why they were here either. Dave frowned, watching the woman hold up the watch as she began to speak.
"Amazons! I stand before you today as not only your queen, but also as a messenger!" The amazons looked amongst themselves, worried by their queens tone. "In the past, we have had many enemies! The monsters of old, the Titans, eBay and most recently, the Giants! But nothing is more of a threat to us then THIS!" She held the watch up high above her head, turning so the crowd could see it. They murmured softly, wondering what she was talking about.
"The Titans have taken a page from the gods playbook. Now, instead of using monsters and demons, they have made a new abomination! Demi-Titans!" The crowd of amazons soundly burst into an out roar, some of them standing and yelling.
"SILENCE!" The queen shouted, the amazons falling quiet and sitting back down.
"Now as I was saying! This watch not only stands as a symbol, but also as a message to the Demi-Titans! This watch, given to a child, a woman non the less, was a gift from the Titan King, Kronos! To his own daughter, Kira Searle!"
Dave glanced over at Kira. She was grinding her teeth in anger. "We aren't like that..."
"Today, we shall end the Titan threat! Now and forever! Starting with their new queen!" She lifted her hand higher, about to throw it in the fire.
"NO!"
