"Dear Fanfiction" Review
“Dear Fanfiction” by Araneae Siqua
Just a note: Sometimes, I’ll make a correction that doesn’t really need to be corrected, but that is just not how I would have written it. It may just be a part of your writing style, and I misinterpreted it. So just consider each comment, and decide for yourself if it really needs to be changed. I do my best to review from the perspective of a reader AND a writer.
Cover: I will refrain from commenting on the cover (since I made it XD).
Chapter Titles: A good way to categorize it. They are simple and to the point, making it easy to tell which one you’ll be getting when you click on it.
Book: Wow, this thing is hilarious. Since it’s not actually a story per se, it’s difficult to grade it. You seem to have a VERY good understanding of the canon characters, and the occasional injection of a cross-fandom character makes the whole thing all the more entertaining. Some of the letters’ irrelevance just adds to the hilarity. I also enjoyed how you used the 1st person letters to address common writing cliches and errors. It was funny and carried the message across. I also like how frequently you update. I'd never be able to update that quickly. I'd run dry on creativity before I even got as far as you have! The whole thing is extremely entertaining and a very good read.
