It's A Jungle Out There

We were almost there (according to Jilee) when the sun began to go down.

And when the sun went down, the creatures came out. Oh, I love summer.

Jilee pulled over to a camping site and I jumped out of the car, and breathed in the cool, fresh night air, and took in the forest scenery. Beautiful. I grabbed my bag and pulled out a blanket and a towel, and looked around until I found two long sticks of about the same length. I laid my towel down on the ground, and then realized my plan was flawed, and searched even harder for two more long sticks. I then jammed two of the sticks on opposite ends of the towel, then and then did the same on each side. Finally, I spread my blanket over the four sticks, and ended up with a pretty good-looking tent. Then the blanket caved in. I remembered a trick from when I was little, and dug around in my bag until I found four hair ties. I waved over Jilee, who had been staring at me. I then realized I had done all this in a few minutes. Jilee and I pulled the blanket over the sticks, and I struggled to keep the blanket over the sticks and get the hair ties in my hand, but then was able to tie the blanket over the over the two sticks closest to me, then walked over to where Jilee was and did the same on that side. I dusted off my hands just for the effect as I looked over my work. And then the sky began to grow darker faster, darker with clouds. I sighed with exasperation and pulled out my raincoat, and laid it on top of my tent. "Voila!" I said, and just as the rain began to fall, I ducked into my nice, warm, pretty-much-water-tight tent, and Jilee hopped back intothe car. I rolled my eyes and fell asleep to the pitter-patter of the rain.
