It's A Jungle Out There
Summary
Thirteen years ago, I was born. I remember my mother like a mountain view. She had long dirty-blonde hair cascading down her back, straight but blowing freely in the breeze. She always wore skirts that came down a bit past her knees, her favorites were the ones that had blue-greens and vines with bright flowers on them. Her eyes were as green as all the most beautiful greens in the world. She always wore sandals, gladiator sandals, and it never mattered, because she was still twenty-something when she died. When she died.
My mother always sang me tales of great heroes, Greek heroes, and of the god Pan, god of the wild. Then, one day we were in the car, and she was telling me the story of the Olympians again, it was my favorite. I saw the car first. Jet black, speeding towards us.
My mother died that day. I was four years old.
